I picked up painting w/acrylics a few months back. It's been pretty therapeutic, and more ejoyable even than I expected it to be. Don't hold your breath for coffee house showings anytime soon, though.
On that note, this sounds like quite a site to see: "Painting the Weather," an exhibit in the U.K.
Easier said than done, that.... painting the weather... difficult to do accurately, and hard to get the mix of light and darkness just right sometimes...
